I had a dead heat pump that failed just before the three week period of “polar vortex” induced cold air into the Tampa area. I called a local AC/ Heat company that has a bundled business (AC heat, plumbing and electrical) for a service call. They had already charged me over $1000 to replace the heat pump capacitors during a systems health check.
